C8 Corvette Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel: Stingray, Z06 and E-Ray Buyer’s Guide
The C8 is one of the easiest cars to upgrade with a custom wheel, and one of the most rewarding, because the factory wheel is right in front of that big digital cluster. Here is what to know.
Fitment across the C8 family
The Stingray, Z06 and E-Ray share the same squared off wheel shape and button layout, so one build fits all three. The C8 wheel is flat top and flat bottom from the factory, and we keep that shape. Your factory buttons, cruise controls and paddles transfer over to the new wheel.
Buttons are not included, and that is a good thing
We build on an OEM core and reuse your factory control modules. That means everything works exactly as it did, including the horn and the airbag. Any buttons in our product photos are for reference only; you move yours over during installation.
The three C8 looks people order
- Red stripe on gloss carbon with black grips. Matches the Adrenaline Red and Torch Red interiors. See the black leather, red stripe build.
- Yellow stripe with yellow paddles. For Accelerate Yellow and Competition Yellow cars. See the yellow stripe build.
- Forged carbon. The marbled pattern pairs with the carbon flash trim on Z06 and 3LT interiors.
Alcantara or leather on a C8?
Most C8 owners choose Alcantara grips because the car already has it on the 2LT and 3LT seats. If yours is a daily driver in a hot climate, perforated leather cleans easier and stays cooler.
LED shift lights on a C8
The LED display at the top of the wheel reads engine RPM and lights up toward redline. On a C8 it sits right below the digital dash, so it is very visible. It is an add on on any C8 build.
Heating
Heated wheels are not retained by default. If your C8 has the heated wheel and you want to keep it, email us before ordering and we will quote it.
Price and timeline
C8 Corvette builds start at $899. Pay 50% to start, balance when finished. Build time is 3 to 6 weeks and you keep your wheel while we build, so the car never sits.
Installation
The C8 swap is straightforward: disconnect the battery, remove the airbag, unbolt the wheel, move your controls over and reverse. We include instructions, and if you are in South Florida you can have it installed at our Miami shop.
